Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Billing and Coding: Advanced Course Course Description: A comprehensive didactic course designed to deliver advanced cardiovascular coding and billing skills. Attendees should have sufficient work experience (basic cardiovascular coding skills) to attend. Course content will include basic anatomy and physiology as it applies to cardiovascular services, common cardiovascular procedures, review of commonly used CPT, ICD-9-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes to include individual surgical and/or procedural codes, common ‘package’ codes, and the correct usage of modifiers. The primary focus of this advanced course will be on peripheral vascular coding and associated billing/denial strategies.
