Endovascular Vein Harvesting Course for the PA

Course Description: Hands on and didactic training on advanced anatomy and physiology, the placement, implementation, and use of scoping devices, initial incision considerations and techniques, safety precautions, and post operative wound care as related to endovascular vein harvesting.

Course Length: Five day course

Enrollment: 3 student maximum per course

Target Audience: Surgical physician’s assistants wanting to acquire endovascular vein harvesting skills.

Intravascular Line Placement Course

Course Description: Didactic and hands on model training on advanced anatomy and physiology, arterial line placement techniques, central venous pressure (CVP) line placement techniques, and placing Swann catheters, peripheral IVs, and PIC lines as related to intravascular line placement.

Course Length: Four day course

Enrollment: 10 student maximum per course

Target Audience: Surgical physician’s assistants wanting to acquire advanced intravascular line placement skills.

Cardiovascular Non-Physician Practitioner Mini-Fellowships

Course Description: Customizable didactic and hands on mini-fellowships designed to enhance the education and experience level of cardiovascular nurse practitioners and physicians assistants. Specialty focused fellowships will include:
Office Based Non-Physician Practitioner Fellowship
Hospital Based Non-Physician Practitioner Fellowship
Electrophysiology Non-Physician Practitioner Fellowship
Peripheral Vascular Disease Non-Physician Practitioner Fellowship
Fellowships will include disease identification strategies, treatment methods, diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular medications, cardiovascular procedures, patient management strategies, physician relationships, etc. Customizable options include exposure to lipid clinic, CHF clinic, EP clinic, PV management, imaging, etc.

Course Length: Five day mini-fellowship
