Cardiovascular Nursing Program
Course Description: A customizable comprehensive didactic course designed to deliver advanced cardiovascular nursing education and skills. Customizable course content will include common cardiovascular procedures, diagnostic testing common to cardiovascular care, cardiac rhythms, cardiovascular medications, lipid clinic, coumadin management, electrophysiology education, cardiac surgery procedures and subsequent patient care, and peripheral vascular disease identification and treatment methods. The primary focus of this cardiology specific course will be on cross training the nursing professional for cardiology service or advanced, cardiology specific training, for recent graduates from an accredited nursing program.
Course Length: Five day course
Enrollment: 10 student maximum per course
